Past Productions and Performances

The Arts at Cabrini program began with an annual summer theatre production in 1999. Since that time, both theatrical and musical productions and performances have gradually been developed and added to a rich artistic history that highlights not only the talents of St. Frances Cabrini Parishioners, but draws talent and expertise from throughout the Denver community and the world.

2014-2015 Season

17th Annual Interfaith Choir Concert
Friday, November 7, 2014, 7:00 p.m.

Choirs from St. Frances Cabrini, St. Philip Lutheran, Faith Community Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will perform an inspiring evening of choral music, individually and as a combined choir of more than 200 voices. Light refreshments will follow.

A Canto Deo Christmas
Friday, December 19, 2014, 7:00 p.m.

Canto Deo will present a sacred choral music concert for the whole family. Accompanied by full orchestra, Canto Deo sings favorite Christmas carols and music from around the world. Free event - but tickets are required. Call the music office at 303-953-7774.

Italian Dinner and Cabaret with Songs We Like!
Saturday, January 17, 2015, 6:00 p.m.

Enjoy an Italian Dinner provided by the Knights of Columbus and a musical program featuring the Songs We Like Quartet singing favorites from the opera and light opera songbook. Ticketed event.

Choral Stations of the Cross

Come join the St. Frances Cabrini Choir after the Friday fish fry for this Lenten tradition combining choral music with the weekly Stations of the Cross.

Arts at Cabrini: Understanding the Art in Our Sacred Space
Saturday, September 29, 2012, 7:00 p.m.

Learn the stories behind our crucifix, stained glass windows, tabernacle, baptismal font, the Cabrini cross, sculptures, altar, baldacchino and more. 
Light refreshments will follow.


October

Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D Minor
Friday, October 19, 2012 -7:00 p.m.

Composed in Vienna in 1791, unfinished at his death and completed by others, the Requiem is one of Mozart’s most beautiful and inspiring creations. The St. Frances Cabrini Choir will be joined by special soloists and orchestra.

Some of the best voices in Denver join the Knights of Columbus to sing an Italian Cabaret, for an intimate evening of wine, food and songs that are their very favorites to sing.

Organ Concert
Sunday, April 21, 2013 - 2:00 p.m.

William Stein, Director of Music at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, MO, will perform organ works from classic to contemporary on the 53-rank St. Frances Cabrini organ.


May

St. Frances Cabrini Choir and Organ Concert
Thursday, May 23, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Cabrini choir will perform the Mass in G by Franz Shubert with orchestra. Principal organists Daniel Wyatt and Mary Reinker will perform works by Bach, Boellman, Dupres, Walker and Rheinberger on the 53 rank Cabrini organ.

Cabrini Summer Theatre Presents:
Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?
Weekends of August 9 - 25, 2013

This Broadway “coming of age” musical, set in the 1950s, follows eight Chicago children in Catholic school, from elementary school through the senior prom and beyond.
